About

El Faro de Redención—in English, Redemption Lighthouse—is a daily broadcast reaching Cuba and beyond. El Faro also provides training in Christ-centered Bible teaching to pastors and teachers in the Cuban church through pastor training conferences held across the island. Through the podcast and stations outside of Cuba, El Faro de Redención is also a space for sharing the voice of the Cuban church with listeners around the world.

Christ from All of Scripture

The focus of all El Faro content, whether it’s the daily broadcast, articles on the blog, or our pastor training conferences, is seeing Jesus Christ in all of Scripture. We believe that this is the best way to read the Bible because it’s the way Jesus taught us to read the Bible (Luke 24:13-35; John 5:39). This Christ-centered approach avoids making the Bible all about principles for success or merely rules to follow. The goal is always to lead listeners back to Jesus in our daily need for his grace.

The Voice of the Cuban Church

El Faro is more than a Bible-teaching broadcast. It is also a space for the voice of the Cuban church to be heard across the island and around the world. We believe that the Cuban church has immense wisdom gained through her unique history that will impact the faith of listeners not just in Cuba but far beyond the island. El Faro dedicates a significant amount of airtime to hearing the voice of Cuban pastors, leaders, and other believers from all walks of life.

Pastor Danny

Pastor Danny Rojas is the director and host of El Faro de Redención. Born in Miami, Florida to Cuban parents, Danny has been serving in pastoral and music ministry for over 25 years. He earned a Master of Theological Studies from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and is currently working on a Doctor of Ministry degree in Pastoral Theology. His passion and heart for El Faro is to share Christ-centered, grace-focused content as well as the voice of the Cuban church, so that many in Cuba as well as across the Spanish-speaking world will find life and rest in Christ.
